China National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and US Trade and Development Agency (TDA) held the Sino-US Anti-Price-Monopoly Seminar in Beijing from March 9 to 11. Officials from DOJ, FTC, Department of Commerce TDA and US Embassy of the US side and officials from NDRC and Ministry of Commerce as well as representatives from price competent department of various level of the China side took part in the seminar. Delegates from both sides exchanged information and experiences in Anti-monopoly work, including US AML legal system, Institutions, characteristics and forms of cartel, the differences between cartel, single coordinated act and other non-cartel horizontal acts, the delineation of cartel and the US leniency policy, AML case investigation procedure and evidence collection. Since China’s AML has just taken effect, we are still lack of experiences in this spectrum. It is therefore very enlightening for China to borrow from foreign experience and positively promote the enforcement of China’s AML. |
