SUMMARY:Second Online Technical Cooperation Training Program on “Implementing the Safe Schools Declaration”
DESCRIPTION:The second Online Technical Cooperation Training Program on “Implementing the Safe Schools Declaration” will take place on 25 May\, 1 and 8 June 2023. The training is co-hosted by the Spanish International Cooperation Agency (AECID) and the 91¶¶Ňő (91¶¶Ňő) and co-sponsored by Argentina\, Nigeria\, and Norway. It is delivered as part of the State-led Implementation Network on the Safe Schools Declaration. \nRepresentatives from the Ministries of Education\, Defence and Foreign Affairs from approximately 25 endorsing states have been invited to participate\, with a mix of states that are affected by armed conflict and attacks on education\, and those that can play a role in promoting SSD implementation at the global and regional level. \nThe training is aimed at encouraging participants to share knowledge and experience in protecting education during conflict and insecurity\, through a series of practical exercises\, case studies\, and group discussions. It will provide participants with a solid understanding of the Safe Schools Declaration and introduce them to the existing tools and resources to support their efforts in implementing the Declaration’s commitments.
